Ayaan his Dad, Rahul, collected our Derbyshire based Ammaco Twin 26 tandem at the end of August 2026. Tony, our Derbyshire Helper posted a video of them in action, on our Facebook group, and wrote, "Ayaan can ride a bike and has lots of energy, but no awareness of direction or danger, so Rahul hopes the tandem will let them go on rides safely together."

Elisa and her Mum and Dad, Nicole and Iginio, collected our Oxford based Thorn Kiddyback tandem at the end of August 2026. Iginio wrote in early September, "The photo is of Carolina (big sister - front) and Elisa (back). The tandem has been a great help so far. We are very grateful to Pete and to Charlotte's Tandems for the opportunity of making use of it at this time of transition."
Archie from Brixton
Archie and his Dad, Rew, collected our London based Viking Saratoga tandem at the end of August 2026. This is our London Helper Georgina's first hire. Rew wrote, "To Charlotte's Tandems team & especially Georgina! Thank you so much for lending us this bike! What a wonderful thing you guys are doing!". Georgina wrote, "Archie was super keen and they happily rode it back home straight away, at least seven miles. I'm hooked, this is great, let's do another one, haha!"
Josh from Nantwich
Josh and his friend, Paul, collected our Lancashire based Mercian tandem at the end of August 2026. Paul told our Facebook group in early September, "Thank you for the loan of a Charlotte's Tandems tandem. We put it together on Thursday night, did an 11.5 mile time trial on Friday night to test it. Today we did 5 laps of Oulton Park on a ride held by Little Budworth Villagers reaching over 27.4 mph in sections. Josh Downing has raised almost £200 for Guide Dogs too. A huge thank you to M David Briggs for helping us to get set up too "
Helena and Andrew from Abingdon
Helena and Andrew and their Dad, Robin, have had our Berkshire based Hase Pino and tag-along trike since the end of August 2026. They also borrowed it at a similar time last year and plan to do some sponsored bike rides on them again this year.
Tawana from Abingdon
Tawana and his Dad, John, collected our Oxford based Dawes Discovery tandem in late August 2026. This is the second tandem that they have borrowed from us this year. They returned it soon after.
Emily from Twyford
Emily and her partner, Luke, collected our Berkshire based Mission Duet tandem at the end of August 2026. Helper John wrote, "As they don't have a car I gave them directions from their home in Twyford approx 6 miles from my home by bus and train. The local train station is 100 yds from my house. It is Reading Festival time in Reading so they decided to come by taxi! The cab waited while they tested the Mission and had the necessary trial ride, went through the t's and c's: all was fine. Luke rode the tandem back to their house while Emily went home by taxi!!"

Jasmine and her parents collected our Gloucestershire based Dino the Hase Pino tandem in late-August 2026. Her Dad, Steven, told our Facebook group, "Great to meet Alex and become part of the Charlotte's Tandems family, after picking up this great Hase Pino. Jasmine cant wait to get out." In mid-September her Mum, Kate, told our Facebook group, "Thank you so much Charlotte’s Tandems for loaning us this fantastic bike! Jasmine managed to get out for her first ride today and loved it."

Tony and his wife, Marie, collected our Lancashire based Orbit tandem in early August 2026. As he is recovering from heart surgery he's been told to take it easy and is the Captain and Marie puts in the power, as Stoker.
Owen from Salisbury
Owen and his parents, Adam and Tammy, collected our Salisbury based Trek Double Track tandem in early August 2026. Helper Mike told our Facebook group, "After trying a couple of tandems in Mike’s collection they opted for the Trek Double Track MTB style with hybrid/gravel type tyres, so they can do a mix of road and tracks. Owen was a bit wary initially but soon ‘found his feet’ and in no time was enjoying a couple of loops of the Rec with both feet on the pedals. Owen is 5’11” and so this was a perfect match with the larger-framed Trek." See some videos of them in action on our Facebook group.

Kathryn and her parents, Stephen and Lynette, collected our Cambridgeshire based Circe Morpheus tandem in early August 2026. They are its first Borrowers. Lynette told our Facebook group a few days later, "We borrowed the Circe Morpheus from Cambridge on the Sunday - after a wobbly start, we managed a short ride on Sunday evening and have been out every evening since."

Mia and her Mum, Liz, collected our Berkshire based Duet wheelchair tandem trike in early August 2026. Liz said, "Mia absolutely loves the bike!".
Oliver from Chalfont St Peter
Oliver and his Dad, Peter, collected our Berkshire based Thorn Voyager tandem at the start of August 2026. John, our Berkshire Helper, wrote, "Oliver was attracted to the yellow Mission tandem, but decided on the black Thorn Voyager as it just fitted into their Skoda with the front wheel out. They had tested a tandem some years ago on the Camel Trail which they enjoyed."
Harry from Henley-on-Thames
Harry and his Dad, Jordy, collected our Berkshire based Dawes Twocan tandem at the start of August 2026. They had test ridden it a Riding for the Disabled event a couple of weeks previously.
