Melanie on holiday in the New Forest
Melanie and her partner had our Salisbury based Viking tandem at the start of July 2026. Helper Mike told our Facebook group, "Melanie had tried to hire a tandem from one of the local bike shops, but none had any tandems available which were small enough to accommodate her. I happened to be going to Lymington for an appointment and was able to throw the Viking in his van and drop it off at Melanie‘s Airbnb in the morning, coming back to collect it at the end of the day. This meant Melanie and her partner were able to have a lovely day Cycling in the New Forest in beautiful weather. Melanie has muscular dystrophy, meaning she doesn’t have the strength to pedal herself without assistance. Borrowing a tandem from Charlotte's Tandems means they could have a wonderful day out today.
