De's and Mum, Kate, collected our Suffolk based Viking Regency at the end of June. Kate said, "We collected the tandem just two days ago, and we've already been out on four rides!
For De, this has been much more than just borrowing a bike. She has always dreamed of cycling to school like the other children, and thanks to the tandem, that dream is becoming a reality.
The tandem has given her the confidence to enjoy cycling safely with an adult while feeling included and independent. Seeing the smile on her face every time we head out has been wonderful.
Thank you to Charlotte's Tandems and the volunteers who make opportunities like this possible. The difference it has made to our family in such a short time has been incredible."

Rob and his wife, Cass, have had our Gloucestershire based Van Raam Tandem Trike, Twinny, since late June 2026. We’re looking forward to being able to ride out together again."

Annette and her friend, Julie, collected our Berkshire based KHS Sausage Dog folding tandem in late June 2026. John, our Berkshire Helper wrote, "They took to it like ducks to water, Annette has cycled at Visually Impaired sites so not new to tandems in many forms. Herewith the photo of the the KHS, folded ready to go. The stoker's seatpost was just resting, pending departure, in case it got forgotten."

Ethan and his Dad, Octavio, collected our North Yorkshire based KHS Sausage Dog tandem in mid-June 2020. Octavio tolfd our Facebook group, "A huge thank you to Charlotte's Tandems, and especially to Andy and Lynn, for giving our family an experience we'll never forget. I would like to take the opportunity to give a huge thank you to Charlotte's Tandems, and especially to Andy and Lynn, for giving our family an experience we'll never forget. From the moment we arrived, you made us feel welcome with your kindness, understanding, warmth, and even some delicious homemade biscuits. You took the time to make sure everything was right for Ethan, and that meant the world to us.
For Ethan, who has Williams Syndrome, this was his very first tandem cycling experience and after leaving your home, we headed to Dalby Forest where he enjoyed another ride and proudly completed a 5km loop. He was absolutely over the moon.
What touched us most was what happened later that evening. After a day full of excitement and emotions, Ethan was lying in bed ready to go to sleep when he became overwhelmed by how happy he was. Through tears of joy, he gave me the biggest cuddle and thanked me for such an amazing day.
Andy and Lynn, a part of that cuddle belongs to you too, because you helped make it happen.
Thank you for creating such special memories not only for Ethan, but for our whole family – Angela, our daughter, and me. We will treasure this experience for a very long time.

Hilary, our N Staffs Helper, told our Facebook group, "I lent sisters Suzie and Alma and their family this Viking tandem from the North Staffs fleet last weekend to enable Suzie to take part in Bikeability at school. This is the second loan the family have had from us, the first one was for Alma’s bikeability

Adrianna and her Mum, Judyta, collected our Lancashire based Viking Pennine Trail tandem in mid-June 2026. Judyta wrote, "I am writing to share some exciting news with you. We finally got started today! We were waiting for the helmet to arrive, as safety is our top priority. Bartek took the time to adjust the tandem, changed the rider position for better comfort, tightened all the components, and greased the chain to make sure everything was in perfect working order.For our first ride, we chose the promenade in Morecambe, as it was relatively quiet. As you know, Adrianna is visually impaired and also has hyperacusis (sensitivity to sound), so she needs some time to get used to new environments and surroundings. Since she hadn't been on a tandem for 12 years, she was naturally a little nervous at first, but after just a few moments, she started really enjoying the ride and felt very comfortable.
It was a fantastic experience! Adrianna is already looking forward to going again tomorrow, and we are all very happy with how it went. Thank you so much for giving us this wonderful opportunity!"

John, our Berkshire Helper, wrote, ""Harvey and Justyn have collected the Landscape for their weekend camping in Henley, They plan a fish and chip meal tonight and cycling tomorrow with a group of 7 others around the area and followed by a curry meal. They will pack up on Sunday and cycle the Landscape back to me."
