The weather wasn’t terribly conducive being rather wet and a bit chilly too but, once we were moving and peddling hard we soon warmed up and the rain was a minor irritation. Even with low visual impairment, cycling on my own felt very daunting. This is a great idea, as I was able to enjoy a bike ride in the sunshine, which I haven't done in a long time. Dexter and his Mum, Alistair, collected our Swansea based Raleigh U+1 tandem in late April 2022. This tandem is the one we bought for Charlotte in 2005. Alistair wrote in early May 2022, "Dexter and I have gone on our first proper ride today. He enjoyed it a lot and says he can't wait to go again!"

Alfie's Dad, Steve, collected one of our red Thorn Kiddyback tandems and an Adams backrest in late April 2022. Alfie is the tandem's first Borrower and it will be based in Oxfordshire. Thank you so much. I am extremely grateful. Being visually impaired I cannot remember the last time I rode a bike, but I’m now so excited to get out and cycle. Nina collected our Glasgow based Viking Valhalla tandem in mid-April 2022. Nina said in early June, "Borrowing the tandem has been amazing and has totally changed the way I do things. Me and my partner jump on it to go for a cycle all the time and I absolutely love having the opportunity to do that. It's so good to have the freedom to get around so easily and in a different way which I wouldn't normally be able to. We have been making the most of it and yesterday we cycled 70 miles between Edinburgh and Glasgow! Thanks again for the chance to use the tandem!"
