Harrison from Lancashire

Harrison and his Mum, Helen, collected our Lancashire based Dawes Duet tandem with a backrest and cranks at the end of April 2020. See a video of them in action on our Facebook site.

Rowan and his Mum, Shannon, collected our Cheshire based Canyon tag-along bike in late April 2020.

Daragh from Bebington

Daragh and his Mum, Siobhan, collected our North Wales based Viking Pennine Trail tandem in late April 2020. Siobhan wrote on our Facebook site, "Thankyou so much Matt from Wrexham area for helping us getting Daragh out and about safely."

Dylan from Solihull

Dylan and his parents collected our Warwickshire based Circe Helios tandem in late April 2020. They are Simon, our new Warks Helper's first hire. His Mum wrote on our Facebook site the same day, "Thank you so so much for loaning Dylan this tandem. We popped on some foot straps from his old bike and he's had a fantastic afternoon in the sunshine. Good physio for his legs too."

Alex from Liverpool

Alex's Dad, Steve, collected our Cheshire based Dawes Super Galaxy tandem in late April 2020. Steve said, "He is going much further than we thought and really enjoying it. Once again thanks for all your help making this possible."

Finn from The Wirral

Finn and his Mum, Selina, collected our Cheshire based Viking Pink Link tandem in late April 2020. See them in action in a video on our Facebook site.

Eva from Wrexham

Eva and her Dad, Paul, collected our North Wales Pink Link tandem in late April 2020. Eva's Mum has reported on the joy Eva has taken from being able to ride almost daily.

Lily from Taunton

Lily and her Mum collected one of our Gloucestershire based Dawes Discovery tandems in mid-April 2020. Due to social distancing reasons, Alex could not take Lily for a test ride, but, as you can see on the video on our Facebook site, Lily and Rachel did fine without any help. Lily uses a wheelchair but she managed to ride the tandem without any support.

Arebella from Suffolk

Arebella and her Mum, Anna, collected our Suffolk based Optima tag-along bike in early April 2020. More details and a photo are to follow.

James from Rossendale

James's Dad, Anthony, collected our Lancashire based Hase Pino in early April 2020. Anthony said, "James loved it. After the first run (100 yards max) James signed for 'more' so we carried on. Thanks for the loan, and thanks to everyone involved. Much appreciated."

Tehreem from Preston

Tehreem's Uncle, Ismail, collected our Lancashire based Viking Derwent tandem in early April 2020. Helper David wrote, "Ismail rode home, solo, to Preston. Tehreem wasn't too sure about riding a bike, but slowly she has built her confidence up. Looking at Ismail's riding style, she may need confidence?"

Rosie from Berkhamsted

Rosie and her Dad, Pete, have borrowed our Hertfordshire based Orbit Routier Tour in Spring 2020. Pete wrote in early April on our Facebook site, "It's been so great having a tandem in the current situation with daily exercise rides replacing weekend jaunts, so we were gutted to say the least when ours had a mechanical and is still at the repair shop awaiting delivery of a suitable part. Fortunately Steve our super Hertfordshire Helper was able to help us out with this Orbit Routier until ours gets fixed - what a star, and what a day for it today!"

Anusha from Guildford

Anusha and her parents have borrowed one of our Surrey based Viking Saratoga tandems in late March 2020. They have previously borrowed a tandem from us. Her Mum, Laura, wrote on our Facebook group n mid-May, "We are loving our Charlotte’s tandem, gratefully received just prior to lockdown. Thanks so much."

Oliver from Bedfordshire

Oliver and his parents collected our Hertfordshire based Ammaco Twin tandem at the end of March 2020. It was the second time that they have borrowed a tandem from Steve. Gosha, Oliver’s Mum, wrote the same day, “We already took the bike for a 14 mile spin, it was great. Thank you soo much we love it! I have attached some pictures for you.”

Martin from Angus

Martin and his Mum, Margarita, collected our Edinburgh based Viking Regency tandem in late March 2020. Margarita wrote the next day that they thought that the tandem was amazing and they were loving cycling together as a family.

Jack from Worcester

Jack's Dad, James, collected our Gloucestershire based yellow Adams tag-along in mid-March 2020. His Mum wrote a fortnight later,
"Thank you SO much for letting us borrow the tag-along bike for Jack. He absolutely loves bikes and he is fascinated with wheels, but he can’t quite pedal his own bike yet. The tag-along is perfect for him! He can put his feet on the pedals, hold the handlebars and ride really fast with Daddy. The pictures are of his second go around the block outside our house, the first go I ran alongside to make sure he could manage. In the photos he is really concentrating and clearly really focused on his bike riding!! So fantastic to see him so engaged! We hoped he’d enjoy it and this is the start of a whole new adventure, and the perfect hobby whilst we’re self-isolating; Jack and Daddy’s daily exercise!

Oscar from Hampshire

Oscar and his Mum, Rachel, collected one of our Hampshire based Viking Companion tandems in early March 2020. A photo of him with the tandem will follow.

John collected our Oxford based Orbit Routier Tour tandem in February 2020. More details and a photo are to follow.

Harry from Norwich

Harry and his family collected our Norwich based Viking Pennine Trail tandem in early February 2020. His Mum, Claire wrote on our Facebook site, "Harry's so excited about trying the tandem. Storm Dennis has been getting in the way of our fun, but he can't wait to go on a long bike ride soon!"

Sophie from Guernsey

Sophie travelled all the way from the Channel Islands to Gloucestershire to borrow our Newton Dawes tandem trike in mid-February 2020. She has had fun riding it with friends around Guernsey and plans to ride it in Spring round Devon.

Steve from Hampshire

Steve is going to borrow one of our Hampshire based Viking Companion tandems in mid-February 2020. Hayleigh, our Hants Helper, wrote on our Facebook site, "Met Steve today. Steve is looking forward to taking one of our tandems out and enjoying the spring weather"👍"

Edward from Cumbria

Edward and Jane have one of our Yorkshire Dales based KHS Sausage Dog tandems. Jane said on our Facebook site, "So grateful to Charlotte’s Tandems & JD Tandems for being able to borrow this amazing sausage dog folding tandem! Edward is visually impaired so we were thinking of buying a tandem so it’s wonderful to be able to try one first. Jamie at JD Tandems was brilliant at getting us going too! What a great charity, thank you so much!"

Oscar from Sevenoaks

Oscar and his Mum, Sally, collected one of our Sussex based Viking Saratoga tandems in late January 2020. Sally reported later that day, "We’ve just been out for our first proper ride and it was brilliant! Thank you so much for lending it to us - Oscar got the hang of it really quickly and has now fallen in love with cycling."

Eleanor from Bicester

Eleanor and her Mum, Nicole, collected our Hertfordshire based U+1 tag-along trike in mid-January 2020. Nicole said on our Facebook site in late March, "Not a great photo but this was us out getting our daily exercise today! Having the trailer is an absolute godsend as Eleanor is totally unsuited to social distancing and so riding a bike keeps her from grabbing at and chasing people!"

Mark from Blackpool

Mark and Maurice have our Lancashire based Dawes Kalantar tandem. Unfortunately they didn't send a photo.

Nicky from Chester

Nicky's Mum, Sue, collected our Cheshire based Viking Valhalla tandem in mid-January 2020. This is the second time that they have borrowed from us. Sue said on our Facebook site that "Nicky and Tim are enjoying taking their tandem out".
