Anderley from Bishop's Stortford

Anderley and her Mum, Christine, have our Hertfordshire based Viking Valhalla tandem. Christine wrote in early April, "Anderley has had two trips out so far and each time she has laughed her head off. We now need to work on getting her to pedal at the same time!!!!"

Jake from Oswestry

Jake and his Dad, Dave, collected our Shropshire based Viking Valhalla tandem at the very end of March 2015. Ray, our Helper, reported on our Facebook site, "Here's Jake and Dave from Oswestry taking their first ride this morning having collected the Shropshire based Viking Valhalla. They took the opportunity to join the Ludlow Easter Bunny Cycle Ride - taking a quiet lane between the town and nearby Bromfield. Lovely tail wind on the return leg! Jake looks forward to taking Lucas around Lake Vernwy which is closer to home."

Louisha from Brighton

Louisha and her Mum, Tara, are the first borrowers of one of our brand new Sussex based Viking Saratoga tandems and collected it at the very end of March 2015. Tara wrote on our Facebook site, "Thank you so much for the hire of the tandem, we will certainly be having lots of fun during the holidays, Louisha loves it & we are very appreciative for the loan"

Bal from Coventry

Bal and Howard are the first borrowers (that we have details of) of the Northamptonshire based Sirius tandem. They collected it at the end of March 2015.

Joe from St Andrews

Joe and Lifang collected one of our East Lothian based Viking Valhalla tandems at the end of March 2015. Our Helper Steve reported, "It was very interesting watching Joe and Lifang having a go on the tandem. Despite my efforts to instruct them on how to get on and take off, they did their own thing and, although quite unorthodox, it worked great for them: so fantastic. They had a good try and cycled together really well before loading the tandem into the back of their car and heading home."

Evan from Edinburgh

Evan and his Mum, Donna, collected a Viking Saratoga tandem at the end of March 2015. The tandem is on loan to us from Beyond Boundaries East Lothain. Donna wrote, "Evan is really enjoying the tandem, first day we were out for 3.5 hours round the Edinburgh Cycle Path, Union Canal and the Water of Leith - Evan really enjoyed the trip without any complaints!"

Logan from Cheshire

Logan and his Mum, Sarah, collected our Cheshire based Viking Valhalla tandem in late March 2015. They hope to get others at his school to borrow tandems too, to do the school run.

Foster from Wrexham

Foster's Dad, Paul, collected our brand new Cheshire based Viking Pennine Trail tandem in late March 2015. His mum, Sharron, wrote in April, "We would like to say a huge thank you for the loan of the tandem. We have been on some lovely rides across the North Wales coast, Abergele to Eiras Park and the new cycle route in Rhyl and also lots of little routes that we have found; all of which would have been in possible without the tandem. Foster has gained a lot of confidence being on the back of the bike with his Dad: his Dad said he didn't stop talking. Hope you enjoy our pictures, also enjoying icecream along the way."

Richard from Hertfordshire

Richard and his friend, Amanda, collected our Essex based Motobecane tandem in mid-March 2014, so that they can go for cycle rides with their Running Club. Here is Richard with his pilot, Andy, on a ride to London.

Kayleigh's Physio, Jakko, collected one of our Dursley based Dawes Discovery tandems in mid-March 2015. Here she is with Emma taking part in a ride from Cardiff to Tenby.

Emily from Tewkesbury

Emily's Dad, Andy, collected our Dursley based Claud Butler tandem in mid-March 2015. He wrote in mid-April, "Please find attached a photograph of Emily being taken for a ride by her cousin, Rob, over the Easter holidays. They both have really enjoyed learning to ride the tandem, it's been great to see them laugh so much. Thanks for the loan of the bike, we've had some great fun with it."

Andrew from Shropshire

Andrew's Helper Steve, collected our Shropshire based Dawes Horizon tandem in mid-March 2015. A couple of days later, Steve wrote, "We had a go on it yesterday and it was great fun and our learner had a fab time" and ""Thanks again for the tandem. We got it out today and it went down well. I am sure it will bring much pleasure".

Alison from Cardiff

Alison and her husband collected one of our Dursley based Dawes Discovery tandems in mid-March 2015. She wrote in mid-April, "Neil and I did a ride on Sunday to England and back across the Severn Bridge. There were 20+ of us and both of your tandems were out. We had a good ride, very windy and cold, but I did it! That was my first proper ride on a bike since my stroke 5 years ago and although there have been a few mishaps leading to this ride, it felt good to achieve. Your tandems will be part of the 2000 plus cyclists cycling from Cardiff to Tenby on May 9th."

Amy from the Wirral

Amy and her Dad, Mark, collected our Wirral based Burley tandem in mid-March 2015. They have now returned the tandem but unfortunately didn't supply a photo or comments.

Molly from Evesham

Molly's Dad and Brothers collected one of the Dursley based Thorn Kiddyback tandems in mid-March 2015.

Keaton from Telford

Keaton and his Teacher, Charlie, are the first Borrowers of our Shropshire based Buddy Bike. They have had it since early March 2015. Our Helper Ray wrote on our Facebook site that here is "Michael and 10 year old Keaton. It's the first time the Buddy Bike, donated by Quest 88, has gone out. I'm hoping the comments get a bit more positive once they've had a chance to practice! “it’s a bit scary”, “it's very wobbly and I don’t like going around corners” & “feels weird”. Charlie has been creating a display with the children at the school and hopefully will have some photos of this by the time of the AGM."

Ellie from Cambridgeshire

Ellie and her parents collected our newly donated Northamptonshire based Weehoo Igo tag-along in early March 2015 and are its first borrowers. Her Dad, Chris, wrote on our Facebook site, "We went out on it this morning for the first time and she really loved it. Thank you for the loan."

Isaac from Gateshead

Isaac is the first borrower of our North-East based Viking Pennine Trail tandem and has had it since early March 2015. He and his friends have been enjoying riding it.

Emily from Newcastle upon Tyne

Emily is the first borrower of our North-East based Ammaco tag-along and has had it since early March 2015.

Benjamin from Manchester

Benjamin's Mum, Bev, collected our Lancashire based Viking Companion tandem in early March 2015. She said on our Facebook site, "He loved it" and "the weather was great too". In mid-April she added, "Another happy day on our tandem. It was the Manchester Marathon, so we went on our bike out and about all day, as the runners went past the end of our road. We had a great time: Ben is loving it and even trying to pedal faster than me!!!! He just laughs all the time x"

John from St Albans

John collected our Hertfordshire based Globetrotter tandem at the start of March 2015. He said a month later that "It is safe with me and I am still trying to get the hang of it having just completed a couple of short, flat tryouts. Any tips gratefully received! Unfortunately I am just getting over a scooter fall so looking forward to some outings very shortly.
At the end of June he added, "Still getting to grips with this as a complete beginner but can't wait!"
