Anne-Marie from Bridgenorth

Anne-Marie and Clifton collected our Shropshire based Viking Companion tandem in late March 2023. Here they are at Connock Chase. They told Helper Ray, "I had a wonderful day in Cannock Chase. It didn't take too long to get up to speed".

Steve from Shrewsbury

Steve and Owen collected our Shropshire based Orbit tandem in late March 2023. Helper Ray says, "They'll be enjoying the cycle paths around where they live - here they are on on the Quarry path down by the River Severn in town. Also joining supported rides organised by Cycling4All Shropshire. Best wishes both!"

Eadie from Kidderminster

Eadie and her parents collected our Shropshire based Weehoo tag-along in late March 2023. Her Mum, Vicki, told our Facebook group soon after, "A huge thank you to Charlotte’s Tandems and in particular Ray who kindly lent us this Weehoo for our daughter Eadie who has spastic diplegia cerebral palsy. We took it for a little test drive yesterday and she loved it."

Ged from Durham

Ged and his Dad, Kevin, collected our Newcastle based Dawes Discovery tandem in late-March 2023. They previously borrowed a tandem from us ten years earlier. Kevin said, "Here's a few pictures of Ged on the wonderful tandem, very much enjoying. We are able to easily get on the Bishop Brandon cycle track which is an old railway "

Stuart from East Yorkshire

Stuart and his Pilot collected our newly donated Sheffield based Orbit Velocity tandem. Unfortunately, they didn't supply a photo or comments.

Amos from Oxfordshire

Amos and his Grandma, Judith, collected our Berkshire based KHS Sausage Dog tandem in mid-March 2023. They are its first Borrowers.

Nick from Cambridge

Nick and his Mum, Sue, collected our Cambridge based Raleigh Adventurer tandem in early March 2023. Sue said in mid-March, "We decided it was never going to stop raining so kitted out in our waterproofs and went out anyway! Today we just did some laps in our neighbourhood to practice starting and stopping safely and get a feel for riding together. All in all a successful and confidence-building ride. Thank you so much for giving us this opportunity.
We are incredibly thankful of small successes like today's happy ride. We got from "Never" to "Just this one ride then never again" to being chatty and enjoying the ride (and the joy of being allowed to tell me off any time I forgot to tell him *before* rather than *during* a change of speed or gear shift!). In the space of 1 mile round and round a loop of our housing estate, that's not bad, and I'm confident he'll agree to a more adventurous ride next weekend now that we've got over that hurdle!"

Khloe from Hampshire

Khloe and her Mum are the first Borrowers of our Berkshire based Huka Co-Pilot rear-steer tandem. They collected it in early March 2023. At the start of April Jayne wrote, “We are having great fun on the tandem as you can see from the photo. I hope the photo is adequate, and I apologise for the delay in getting it to you. The weather has been absolutely dreadful! Many thanks for the loan.”

Daniel and his Mum, Nicki, collected our Gloucestershire based Viking Valhalla tandem in early March 2023.

Dominic from Bristol

Dominic and his Mum, Denisa, swapped our Gloucestershire based Viking Valhalla tandem for our Claud Butler Majestic tandem in early March 2023. Unfortunately, he wouldn't ride it.

Noah from Northern Ireland

Noah and his Parents collected our Lisburn based Weehoo tag-along in early March 2023. His Mum, Pamela, told us the next day that he loved his first ride.

Val from Co Tyrone

Val and David collected our Lisburn based Viking Valhalla hybrid tandem in early March 2023. David told our Facebook Group in mid-April, "A huge thank you to Charlotte's Tandems for the hire of a tandem, and to Jade in Co. Down, for facilitating. What a fun experience and a great way to travel. We finally managed to find a weather window and a willing photographer to take the attached photo and video, which show Val (who has Parkinson's Disease) and David setting off on a practice run."

Alex from Nottingham

Alex and his Mum, Ruth, collected our Derby based Viking Companion tandem in late-February 2023. Ruth told our Facebook group in early March, "First trip out on the bike. Didn't want to go for long so no video this time. Thank you so much for the loan of the bike. Hopefully back out again tomorrow!"

Oliver and his Mum, Rebecca, collected our Sheffield Hase Pino tandem in mid-February 2023. Unfortunately, they didn't supply a photo or comments.

Jaxom from Norfolk

Jaxom and his Mum, Jolene, collected our Norfolk based Viking Pennine Trail tandem in mid-February 2023. Jolene wrote a couple of days later, "Jenny was absolutely lovely and I got to meet her son as well who did an awesome demo. My son Jaxom has autism, he absolutely loved the ride today. Thank u all so much for putting a smile back on our faces x"

Archie from Thatcham

Archie and his Mum, Suzy, returned our Berkshire based Mission Piggyback tag-along trike and borrowed our Berkshire based Hase Pino tandem in February 2023. It's the second time that they've had it, the first time being in April 2022. Suzy told our Facebook group in May, "We’ve had the pleasure of borrowing a tandem from Charlotte's Tandems 3 times in the last year. We’ve just returned the latest one to the fabulous John - the helper in Berkshire. Being able to borrow a bike that brings our child so much joy & allows him to join in with the rest of the family is fantastic!"

Thomas and his Dad, Stefano, collected our Berkshire based Weehoo tag-along in early February 2023. Here they are getting ready for their maiden voyage.

Anaïs from Bristol

Anaïs and her Dad, Romain, collected our Gloucestershire based maroon KHS Tandemonia tandem in early February 2023. Her Mum reported in early March they were having fun with it and on Mothering Sunday she reported, "We just cycled quickly up and down our street so Anaïs had her wellies on!!!"

Henry from East Yorkshire

Henry and his parents collected one of our Derby based Mission Piggyback tag-along trike at the end of January 2023. That day his Mum, Emma, wrote, that he was very excited and can't wait to get riding. See a video of them in action on our Facebook group.

Joel from Broadway

Joel’s Mum, Jenny, collected our Gloucestershire based Adams tag-along bikes at the end of January 2023. Jenny said a few days later, "Huge thank you for the tag along. We’ve just completed our first ride, spending over an hour cycling. It’s been fantastic… a big thumbs up from Joel!"

Wilfred from Whitchurch

Wilfred's Mum, Laura, collected one Gloucestershire based Weehoo tag-alongs at the end of January 2023. Laura told us on Mothering Sunday, "Thank you Charlotte’s Tandems for letting us borrow the Weehoo tag along! Wilfred’s been out for a great ride this morning and really loved it what a great way to spend Mother’s Day"

Nicetu from Oxford

Nicetu and his Partner, Marta, collected our Oxford based Viking Timber Trail tandem in late-January 2023. Marta said in mid-February that they were finding it hard, due height differences, but were finding it great fun.
