Seren and her Mum, Sarah, collected our Gloucestershire based Viking Saratoga at the end of September 2015. Sarah reported a fortnight later, "We had a couple of wobbles as I didn't know what to do with the gears and a lot of clunk clunking made Seren a bit nervous. We had someone explain and check them over and we are away again.
I am keeping the tandem in my sister's kitchen, as we are using it so often it isn't worth putting it away. It is amazing! We are enjoying it so much. To be able to go on a bike ride together, or as a family, is such a pleasurable experience most people take for granted."

Henry and his parents collected our Lancashire based Thorn Kiddyback tandem and backrest at the end of September 2015. Jo, his Mum, wrote two days later, "We went out yesterday: absolutely wonderful to see my boys out together; glorious weather, fantastic machine. Henry went to kiss the bike goodnight last night, and is dying to show the picture at school too."

Sofia and her Boyfriend, Eduardo, collected our London based Thorn Discovery tandem at the end of September 2015. Eduardo wrote a few days later, "First of all thank you so much for this great project.
Sofia (and myself) love to go cycling and the initial experience was

Beckenham to Poplar...)"

Louis's Dad, Nick collected one of our Gloucestershire based Orbit tandems in late September 2015. His Mum apparently said, "I can't believe he's been able to do that - I was in tears as he rode past. This has absolutely made my year."

Gabriel and his Dad, Tim, collected one of our Sussex based Viking Companion tandems in mid-September 2014. Tim wrote the same day, "Gabriel and I had a very successful first ride, starting with a few laps of Hove Park and then trying out the journey to and from Gabriel's school. He really seemed to enjoy it!"
Charlie from Cheltenham
Charlie and his family borrowed one of our Viking tandems in 2013 and in 2014 but in mid-September 2015 collected one of our Gloucestershire based Dawes Discovery tandems.

Ciaran and his parents, Alex and Joanne, collected our London based Thorn Kiddyback in September 2015. Joanne wrote, "Thank you - it's a real breakthrough for us as a family, and after a number of years trying, quite liberating to get Ciaran cycling."
Carrie from Cam, Gloucestershire
Carrie and her friend, Ewan, often borrow a tandem from us for short rides. In mid-September 2015, it was the turn of one of our Gloucestershire based Dawes Discovery tandems. Here there are on a previous ride on it.
Robin from Warwick
Robin and Judith collected our Shropshire based Viking Valhalla in mid-September 2015. Helper Ray wrote on our Facebook site, "Robin used to ride a tandem as a child so was very excited about trying it again. He heard about the charity on Radio 4 and looks forward to some leisurely rides around home town Warwick. Robin says, 'It was lovely to see you all today and thanks again for letting us borrow the tandem and for showing us the ropes. We’ll be sure to send you a pic or two over the next couple of weeks'. Happy cycling!"
Annabelle from Ringwood, Hampshire
Annabelle and her Mum, Lisa, went by ferry to collect and be our first Borrowers of our Isle of Wight based Claud Butler tandem in mid-September 2015. Lisa wrote on us Facebook Group, "We have had so much fun on it. It is so nice to see Annabelle smile." See our Facebook site for more photos.

Faye and her Dad collected our Cheshire based Viking Pennine Trail tandem in mid-September 2015. They had previously borrowed a tag-along bike from us.
Ella from Somerset
Ella and her Dad, Mark, collected our Gloucestershire based Globetrotter tandem at the start of September 2015.
In mid-October he updated us with, "We've been out on the tandem a few times now, not anything particularly adventurous but enjoyable all the same.
It's been great to be able to all go out for a ride and exercise as a family. Mum and sister are now struggling to keep up. So far we've avoided climbs and, from past personal experience, as an incentive, it has seemed a good plan to include a halfway stop-off for coffee and cake. Looking forward to extending our excursions and sampling what other catering establishments have to offer.
