Our tandems, tag-alongs and accessories
We have lots of tandems and tag-alongs (a.k.a. trailer bikes) that have been donated or bought. One is owned by Charlotte and some others are lent by other people.
Please let us know if you would like to borrow one of our bikes. Pictures and comments from lots of our Borrowers can be found here. Our tandems change hands every few months so you could be on one of them soon.
We have road/touring tandems and mountain bike style tandems of various sizes: we have some best suited where both riders are over 6', lots for normal height adults and for where the Stoker (the rear rider) is over 8 years old, and some where the stoker is at least 5 years old. Some have drop bars some have flat bars. Some of them are trikes and some are folding. Two are wheelchair tandems and three tandems are semi-recumbent. We don't have solo trikes, plenty of other places do.

Our tag-alongs have one or two wheels at the back and some have integral backrests, i.e. are recumbent. Tag-alongs (AKA Trailer bikes) are best suited for 4 to 8 year olds. A list of the different types of tandems and tag-alongs that we have and our regions in which they are in, can be found here.
We can also lend you Helmets and High Viz Vests. We have some backrests that can be fitted to our tandems or tag-alongs. Some of our Helpers have a range of accessories to borrow, even if you don't borrow a tandem, e.g. front & rear pannier racks, panniers, bike racks and tandem roof carriers for cars, if you need to transport your tandem. Lots of our Borrowers seem to think that they will need a tandem trike rather than a tandem bike. For advice on this and on Tandem Riding and Transport, see our Advice webpage.
